Drum Cover - “Get To It”

I'm excited to announce that my YouTube channel is officially up and running!

As my first upload, I'm sharing a throwback recording from my previous home studio - a play-along to Dave Weckl's "Get to It." While it's definitely not perfect, I hope you dig it!

What makes this recording special is looking back on how I kept things on a simple and affordable budget. The entire drum recording was captured using the DK707 mic kit from Samson - a complete 7-piece drum microphone setup that costs under $400!

This illustrates something I've learned over the years: you don't need expensive gear to capture good drum sounds. With the right approach and some basic equipment, you can create recordings that sound professional.

Looking back at these older recordings reminds me why I'm so passionate about helping drummers achieve better sounds without breaking the bank. Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest ones.

I'd love for you to check out the video and consider subscribing to the channel. There's much more content coming, including practical tips, gear insights, and real-world solutions for better drum sounds.
